Liberal soap opera star Nancy Lee Grahn of General Hospital fame Tweets that she’s hosting a Hollywood fundraiser for U.S Senate candidate and former Virginia governor Timothy M. Kaine.

For the uninitiated, Grahn “plays strong and savvy Alexis Davis, a brilliant attorney whose sense of humor has recently come to the forefront,” according to the actress’s website.

“Im hosting a fundraiser for Tim Kaine for Senate May 26^th 6pm. Anyone wanna pony up $1000. Ill go with you,” she Tweeted Tuesday.

Grahn, who describes herself on Twitter as a “left handed, left minded nice half jewish soap star from skokie” poses in her profile photo with tape over her mouth and “NOH8” scrawled on her cheek.

For the uninitiated, The NOH8 Campaign is a “photographic silent protest” in response to California’s Proposition 8, which bans same-sex marriage.

Asked if the rumor was true, a Kaine spokeswoman said the campaign is looking at the possibility of an event in California, but said the details were not yet lined up.
