First lady Michelle Obama will officially launch the “It Takes One” initiative of the Obama campaign during her Friday visits to Charlottesville and Fredericksburg, the campaign announced today. 

The new program aims to
emphasizes “the impact that every single person can have in this election.”

“As Barack has said, this election will be even closer than four years ago,” the first lady says in a video about the effort.

“In the end, it could all come down to those last few thousand votes in a single state. And while that might sound like a lot, remember that those votes are spread out across hundreds of cities and thousands of precincts.”

Both of the first lady’s events are free and open to the public but tickets are required.
