As he heads to Glen Allen today for a campaign stop, President Barack Obama’s campaign is out with a new ad in Virginia and other battleground states again taking aim at GOP presidential nominee Mitt Romney for outsourcing and overseas bank accounts.
The 30-second spot, titled “Firms,” is set to the background music of Romney singing “America the Beautiful” earlier this year in Florida.
As he does so, the ad shows text reading: “In business, Mitt Romney’s form shipped jobs to Mexico. And China…As governor, Romney outsourced jobs to India…He had millions in a Swiss bank account…Tax havens in Bermuda…And the Cayman Islands.”
The ad concludes: “Mitt Romney’s not the solution. He’s the problem.”
Romney did a rare series of interviews yesterday pushing back on the line of attack from Obama, who has run several ads accusing Romney of outsourcing jobs.
Here’s the transcript of his interview with CBS News.
