Gov. Bob McDonnell will head to Utah this weekend to attend an event that Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney is holding for donors.

McDonnell, the chairman of the Republican Governors Association , is expected to speak Saturday evening.

It will be a quick turnaround for McDonnell, who returns today from an overseas trade trip to Germany, Switzerland and Sweden.

Romney, a former Massachusetts governor, plans to spend the weekend with top fundraisers in Park City, Utah, according to the Washington Post. The paper reported that the two-day event will include policy sessions and campaign strategy discussions at a resort.
