The House of Delegates unanimously approved changes to the current 2010-12 budget this afternoon, but members have not yet started discussions about the upcoming 2012-14 budget.

The chamber approved the “caboose budget” after rejecting an amendment proposed by Del. Robert G. Marshall, R-Prince William, which would direct the governor to ensure that no state agency aids in “requiring religious employers or their health insurance providers to offer insurance coverage for contraceptive methods, sterilization procedures, or abortifacients to employees when such religious employers deem such services contrary to their religious tenets.”

The amendment failed 84-16.
