Gov. Bob McDonnell and House Majority Leader Eric Cantor, R-7th, will address students at Washington and Lee University’s Republican Mock Convention on Feb. 10.

The convention opens Feb. 9 with a debate between Ann Coulter and James Carville, and a speech from former GOP presidential candidate and Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee.

Former Mississippi Gov. Haley Barbour, McDonnell and Cantor are also scheduled to speak over the course of the convention. The event culminates on Saturday with the students’ prediction of the Republican presidential nominee.

The mock convention is a tradition at Washington and Lee. The school says it has had only two incorrect predictions since 1948, and an overall accuracy rate of more than 75 percent.

This year, according to the school, the students have correctly predicted the outcome of the New Hampshire and South Carolina primaries.
